Abstact :

This article investigates the feasibility of applying the ANP in supplier selection of notebook producers for computer industries to improve the group decision making by a more systematic and logical approach. Nowadays most of studies on supplier selection focus on optimizing supplier selection, rather than interaction among criteria in the supplier selection. However, during selection stage, sub-criteria of single criteria can lead to numerous other criteria also requiring modification. Thus, there is a need for developing a systematic supplier selection process of identifying and prioritizing relevant criteria and evaluating the trade-offs between quality and cost as strategic issues. By using ANP (Analytical Network Approach) that proposed by Saaty (1996), we supposed to handle qualitative and quantitative criteria, which there exist interactions among the elements of a system by forming a network structure.
